Feb Highlights

This time of the year is always great for welding and watching the new students get comfortable with their beads.

I’m just getting started with the welding program and I really don’t want comment on things I’m not sure about yet,but I’m sure I’m with the right teacher Mr Scott he seems knowledgeable about the welding stuff so soon I be able to be a happy bloger lol

It felt great getting down my first SMAW beads the past 2 weeks. Definitely a learning curve but that’s why Mr. Scott starts us on a nice 4″ x 4″ plate for the first week or so. Just lay a few hundred welds down on that plate and you might finally feel comfortable.

Just when I thought I was getting the concept, changing up the angle to approach at a horizontal 90° feels like starting the learn everything all over again.
